My dad (Fred N. Krauss) worked for the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P). He was a Baker, and he kept the donut department of the A&P Bakeries functioning at peak performance. His specialty was the fantastically good Powdered Donuts that were delivered fresh to stores every morning.
These were the days when companies held great outdoor picnics for their employees and families. Koko The Clown and his friends entertained yearly. Dad usually invited other family members to join us and it was always a fun day.
The photos reproduced here were all taken at the picnic held on July 21, 1957.
